(better than mine :)

I could'nt understand the problem. Is your mouse wheel not functioning?
Normally, steering it to front is ZOOM IN, steering it to back iz ZOOM out. You can control it by ZOOMWHEEL system variable.
You may also need to set ZOOMFACTOR variable to change wheel zoom factor

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

hello sorry for my english i speak in french.. i need help with my autocad 2010 please! its for my zoom with my middle button of my mouse! nothing is good. i have go in settings, control pannel, mouse etc ok my pan now its ok but not my middle mouse for my zoom, i try with mbuttonpan nothing i try with limits nothing what i can do!! thank you and sorry with my english .

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

make this changes in your template file. e.g. ACADISO.DWT

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

in autocad my zoomfactor value changed to 12 as default and mbuttonpan to 0. whenever i try to change it to zoomfactor as 60 and mbutton to 1 it chang at the time but next time when i open again autocad (any version) it changes the value again to 12 and 0. can any one help

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

I m student of GIS and handling AutoCad for 1st time...
This is quite a simple n well described explanation...
Has been so useful for a beginner like me...
Thx a lot...

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

I use a logitech wireless mouse and I have to turn off Logitechs Wireless mouse software in order for the mouse to pan. The scroll zoom in and out always worked but it appears that special mouse software can be counter productive to the pan command as it relates to using the scroll wheel as a button.
Someone else here mentioned it and I tried it. It worked perfectly.
Thanks...

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

Hey!

I'm new to autocad. It gets to a point sometimes where it won't zoom in any further and it's way too far out. Or it zooms in too much right past the model. Off-topic of AutoCAD, but thanks!

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

Hello to all. I have tried everything mentioned. It performs the zoom function just fine. Any Ideas?? I use it side by side with SolidWorks quite often; however, the zoom features are opposite, scroll up equals zoom in on one and zoom out on the other. Its kinda confusing when quickly jumping back and forth. I also frequently use Unigraphics and some Pro-E which have the same zoom function as SolidWorks so I want to change the AutoCAD function to match. So.... Is there a registry setting that I can edit to make scroll down equal zoom in?

Re: http://www.dailyautocad.com/2008/03/hip-tip-zoom-and-pan-via-mouse-scroll.html

Hello Alain,

We'll be very happy to introduce your new web site when finished.
